This application form is for US applicants for sport-hunted species which are CITES Appendix I and/or listed in the US Endangered Species Act (ESA). This includes the African lion and African elephant which are classified as 'Threatened' wherever it is found in ESA. It excludes African leopard, white rhino or bontebok.
This application form is for US applicants to apply for a CITES Import Permit only for southern African leopard and Namibian southern white rhinoceros.
This application form is for US applicants to apply for a CITES Import Permit for bontebok from South Africa only.
US applicants for a CDC permit to import raw baboon trophy products into the US.
Please note this permit application can only be done online and does not need to be made before your hunt. You can apply on return and most likely your trophy shipping broker will take care of it on your behalf.
EU applicants must apply for a CITES Import Permit at their member state CITES authority. You can find the contact details of CITES in your country on the CITES list of members
Currently UK applicants must apply for a CITES Import Permit from DEFRA and Animal and Plant Health Agency using form FED0172.
Australian applicants must apply for an import permit of any CITES Appendix listed animal. Australia does not permit the import of any CITES Appendix I animal products/hunting trophies. The application can be done online via the information link below.
