The features of good women's safari jackets are much the same as for men. However, if you are not hunting or walking in the African bush, you can be more flexible with muted colours, not so many pockets or shooting features and cosiness for chilly early mornings.

Pockets - better to have buttons rather than velcro which can be noisy. Too many pockets can be a disadvantage if you can't remember where you put something and have to rummage through all 21 pockets to find it.
Other optional features - cartridge loops, shoulder padding for shooting.
Khaki, green, brown colours rather than white or any bright colour.
